FAQ – frequently asked questions

FAQ – frequently asked questions about Implant centre Martinko
How do I get a quote?
There are two ways in which you can get our quote: you can send us your OPG (an orthopantomogram, a panoramic x-ray of your teeth, not older than 6 months) or come to us for a first checkup. In some cases we can also give you an estimate of costs based on a quote made by another dentist. Without the OPG, the first visit or quote from another dentist, we cannot give you an estimate.
What is an OPG?
The orthopantomogram, or simply the OPG is a panoramic dental X-ray of the upper and lower jaw. It shows the bones of the mandible and maxillary sinuses on a single x-ray film. Dentists use it to evaluate the status of all the teeth and the surrounding bone structures.
How do I send you my OPG?
You can send us your OPG via email or by post. If you want to send us your X-rays via email you need to take a photograph of it turning it towards a source of light and email us the photos. Our doctors will assess the situation and decide on the best solution for you. After a few days you will receive our offer. We will clearly indicate the planned dental work and the schedule of your treatments.
Are the visits at your dental studio free?
The first visit at our dental studio is free. The visit begins with the OPG from which we see the general state of your teeth. After the visit and a brief conversation with the dentist we will give you a written offer on which we will clearly indicate the treatments which we have planned for you and the schedule of your treatments.
Where are your dental studios located?
Our studios are located in Zagreb, Split and Milan. Eventhough the headquarters of the Implant Centre Martinko are in Zagreb, the method of work in our dental studios in Split and Milan is identical to that of the main studio. The doctors employed in Split and Milan are a part of our team and the prices and services are the same as in Zagreb.
How can I get to your clinic?
Croatia is well connected to all major European cities, both with national and low-cost airlines. You can reach our studios by flying to Rijeka, Zadar, Split or Dubrovnik on the Croatian coast or directly to Zagreb. Another possibility is flying into Venice or Trieste (Italy) and Ljubljana (Slovenia). We are able to organize a service of organized transport from major airports or train stations close to Zagreb (Venice, Ljubljana, other airports in Croatia) to our clinic. This is a return trip and the cost of this service depends on the distance and the number of people using it.
Is the accomodation free?
We offer free accommodation to our patients and their companions during their stay in Zagreb. The apartments are well equipped and located in a quiet neighborhood, close to our headquarters. In case all the apartments are occupied, we will put you up in a hotel, at our expense.
What are the payment options?
We accept payments in cash, credit cards or bank transfer. We offer a 15% discount for cash payments. All cash payments are to be made only in HRK (Croatian currency). Within a walking distance of the clinic there is a bank in which you can easily exchange your money.
Can I pay by installments?
Unfortunately, the installment payment is not possible. However, it is important to note that dental implantology treatments require more than one session and that after each treatment you will only pay for what you had actually had done in that session.
